Dr. Dylan Kumar, PT, DPT

Owner/Founder

I received my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Columbia University in New York, New York and a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Physiology from the University of Oregon.

I was born and raised in San Ramon, CA where I played 10 years of football before undergoing two shoulder surgeries in high school. Through these experiences in rehab and subsequent education at Columbia, I developed a passion for working with patients who sought a bridge between rehab and performance, as I was previously one of these patients. In recognizing the shortcomings of more traditional rehab, I strive to match the energy and passion of my patients while equipping them to independently navigate the non-linear nature of active lifestyles. My treatment approach emphasizes movement and exercise programming aimed at empowering my patients while in pursuit of their activity, rehab, and performance related goals.

In my free time, I enjoy working out, trying out new bars and restaurants, and watching pretty much any sport. (#RaiderNation).

What I Stand For

  • Transparency in healthcare

  • Meeting patients where they are at in their journey

  • Finding sustainable rehab & fitness solutions

  • One on one time with patients

  • Acceptance in there being more than one solution

My Goals

  • Create a service that will keep people out of the cyclical nature of healthcare

  • Build an environment that gives physical therapists a reason to be good

  • Avoid letting traditional constraints of healthcare influence outcomes

What I Am Against

  • Overmedicalization

  • Reactivity instead of proactivity in healthcare

  • Making people feel fragile through fear mongering & medical jargon

  • Insurance companies having decision making power

  • Incomplete solutions that keep you in the system

Stop living in pain, its time to regain your performance
